ISH - Indian School of Hospitality
ISH History

Our journey so far

From one idea in 2016 to a whole academic ecosystem in 2025

The beginning

2016–2018

We founded ISH to reimagine hospitality and business education in India. In 2018, we launched our first academic session and opened our purpose-built campus in Gurugram, affiliated with Gurugram University.

Early scale

2019–2020

We introduced India’s first curated internship structure and opened new academic pathways through At-Sunrice Singapore. We also launched our first postgraduate program, welcoming early-career professionals to our growing ecosystem.

Global momentum

2021–2022

ISH became part of the Sommet Education global network, which is home to institutions such as Les Roches and École Ducasse. We formalized academic collaborations, expanded our campus infrastructure, and hosted India’s first blended hospitality conference.

Recognition and reach

2023–2024

We launched executive education for industry professionals and expanded our academic offerings. ISH received recognition under Section 2(f) of the UGC, initiated the NAAC accreditation process, and obtained AICTE approvals for our undergraduate programs. We also launched the Allana Centre for Entrepreneurship to nurture innovation across student and industry projects.

A complete academic ecosystem

2025

Today, ISH hosts over 650 active students across undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and executive education tracks. Our Gurugram campus anchors our role as a centre for academic excellence, product development, and industry collaboration. With a strong foundation, global alliances, and regulatory trust, ISH stands ready to shape the next decade of education in hospitality, business, and allied services.
