Dilip Puri Founder & CEO

Dilip Puri is the Founder & CEO of the Indian School of Hospitality (ISH). Dilip served as the Managing Director of Starwood Hotels & Resorts South Asia from 2011 till the end of 2017 when he set out to be an education entrepreneur & founded ISH. Dilip has over three decades of experience in the hospitality industry & has worked with brands such as Oberoi, Taj, IHG, & Starwood in India, Australia, & Africa. Dilip is a recipient of Hotelier India Hall of Fame – Lifetime Achievement Award. Dilip has an economics degree from the University of Delhi and completed his postgraduate studies at the Oberoi Centre of Learning & Development (OCLD). He is a member of the ISH faculty & a full-time industry mentor to students.

Prahlad Puri
Prahlad Puri Co-Founder & Executive Director

Prahlad Puri is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Indian School of Hospitality, and leads strategy and operations for the institute. A graduate from the University of Leicester, Prahlad has always been fuelled by an entrepreneurial spirit. He has been a part of multiple start-up ventures in verticals such as information technology, interior design, architecture tech and education. Following his graduation, Prahlad became involved in the world of technology and innovation and its applicaton in driving modern day businesses. Within both the start-up and established brands space, Prahad began his journey into the world of technology and entrepreneurship. In 2016, Prahlad joined ISH and in addition to his role as ISH’s Co-Founder and Executive Director, Prahlad is also a mentor to students of the college. In addition, Prahlad works closely with early stage start-up businesses and mentors other aspiring young entrepreneurs within the tech and educational space.

Kunal Vasudeva
Kunal Vasudeva Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer

Kunal is the Chief Operating Officer and a founding member of the Indian School of Hospitality, where he leads brand strategy and growth, ensuring that the academic operations are global-first. With over three decades of experience in the academic field, Kunal’s expertise lies in establishing and growing avant-garde educational institutions, with a strong focus on building high-performance teams which deliver accelerated growth and create brand equity. Prior to his association with ISH, Kunal has led some of India’s most iconic education and aviation brands like the Kingfisher Training Academy & Aviation Services, Education Management & Consultants TC Global, and Expat Group Centre of Excellence. A graduate in Physics from the University of Bombay, Kunal has always been fascinated by the educational sector, and has worked tirelessly to bridge the gap between industry requirements and the resources available. Owing to his contributions to the industry, Kunal is considered a pioneer within the educational space in India.

Dr. Payal Kumar Dean - Research and Management Studies

Dr. Payal is the Dean of Management Studies and Research at the Indian School of Hospitality (ISH). Formerly Professor & Chair HR/OB and Associate Dean, International Relations at BML Munjal University, Payal is an award-winning academician and prolific writer. She has published 12 books so far with international publishers such as Springer and Emerald Publishers, apart from several research papers.She is also the series editor of the Palgrave Studies in Leadership and Followership, a 5-volume series with volume editors spanning USA, Austria, Australia and India. As a thought leader, she is frequently invited to write for media publications such as the Hindu and the Economic Times.

Dr. Zubin D'Souza
Dr. Zubin D'Souza Dean - Culinary & Practical Arts

Dr. Zubin D’souza joined ISH as the Dean of Culinary and Practical Arts, solidifying the institute’s culinary programme delivery. With more than two decades of experience, Dr. Zubin has led F&B operations for leading global brands across the globe including Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, JW Marriot, Sheraton and MARS Enterprises among others. Dr. Zubin is also the author of over 11 culinary and leadership books with global publications. Dr. Zubin holds a PhD in Organisational Behaviour and an MBA, and is an alumnus of the Oberoi Centre for Learning and Development. A skilled F&B professional, he is recognised for being a visionary creator of award-winning dining experiences, and his culinary dishes are influenced by culturally diverse regions around the world.

She has more than 25 years of extensive hospitality experience including Operations, Pre openings, Skill training and coaching people to achieve personal and professional successes. She has worked with hotel ownership and operations team to identify core issues and risks connected with them & has successfully conceived and rolled out multiple training initiatives, leadership trainings, organizational development initiatives at various organizations like -. Hyatt Regency, Four Points, Fort Raichak, Heritage Palace –Jaipur, AltAir, Health Total by Anjali Mukherjee, Orange Tree Clinics & PVR amongst others.

Harsimran has over 14+ years of experience as a Grooming & personality expert. She is a graduate of the London School of Makeup and Beauty. She has helped transform the look and aesthetics of some of India’s largest corporations. During her work with some of the country’s most iconic brands - Jet Airways, Kingfisher Airlines, Taj Hotels – she has helped thousands of individuals discover their own unique brand of beauty and identity through the art of makeup and grooming.

Till recently, Gaurav has been the Executive Chef at JW Marriott Resort & Spa. He is a culinarian with over 19 years of experience of working with 5-star luxury hotels. Gaurav’s journey began with working as a kitchen associate of a pre-opening team member of The Oberoi Vanayavilas, Ranthambhore. In 2018, he commenced working with JW Marriott Jaipur Resort & Spa. An avid learner and his passion for food made him notable in the industry in a very short span of time. His flair of fusion food dazzles the taste buds of all the food lovers.

Abhishek Tyagi Associate Director - Academic Affairs

Abhishek Tyagi has a professional career that spans over 25 years working with academic institutions within India and Africa providing leadership, administrative support, and overall management of campus-based, distance learning tertiary education and blended learning certificate programs. He worked in domains such as academic planning, accreditation, quality assurance, curriculum development, engaging in due diligence of business processes, and creating partnerships with various stakeholders. He is a Postgraduate in Business Management and has attended several workshops and training programs to craft his skills. Well versed with modern pedagogy, educational practices and developing a student-centric environment, he has demonstrated ability to work with multi-cultural, multi-location teams, logical and critical thinking, ability to solve the problem quickly and efficiently, excellent communication skills and management ability. Before joining ISH, he was working with O. P. Jindal Global University in Sonipat, Haryana. Abhishek is inclined towards spirituality and loves to travel, cook and drive.

Dr. Chirag Malik (PhD., MBA., UGC-NET, B.Sc.) is Associate Professor (Business Analytics) at Indian School of Hospitality (ISH), Gurgaon. He has 21 years of work experience in industry and academics. His areas of interest are, Business Analytics, Marketing Analytics and Marketing Research. His current research areas are Recommendation Engine, Market Basket Analysis, Text Mining, Revenue Management & Hospitality Analytics, Environmentally Conscious Consumer Behaviour and Machine Learning for Transforming Education. He is a member of Analytics Society of India, IIM Bangalore. He has published various research papers in Scopus, WOS and ABDC indexed national and international journals of repute. He has also presented papers in many national and international conferences organised by reputed institutions, such as IIM Indore, IIM Lucknow, IIM Ahmedabad, MDI Gurgaon, and IIT Roorkee. He has been session chair of various technical sessions at international conferences held at reputed institutions. He is a resource person of choice for conducting workshops on data analytics using various statistical tools such as Python, R, SPSS, AMOS and advanced excel.

Neha has 9 years of diverse managerial experience in the hospitality industry. After completing her PG in Guest Service Management from OCLD, she started her career at the Oberoi Udavilas in Front Office. She was part of the preopening team in Trident Bandra Kurla, Mumbai and later moved to the Sheraton Dubai Creek Hotel and Towers to manage their Front Office operations. After her MBA from Indian School of Business (ISB) Hyderabad, she joined OYO for managing the Customer Experience for OYO Townhouse.

She has worked in varying capacities across local and international brands including InterContinental Hotels Group, Accor Hotels, Marriott Hotels, Great Places to Work (India), ITC Hotels, Taj hotels. Through her expertise in training design, she demonstrates an excellence in impacting the performance of human resources across all levels, contrinuting to the reform, enhancement, & advancement of organisational objectives. With over 11 years of training experience as a language & communication expert, his skill lies in Language Proficiency, Presentation Skills, Voice Coaching, Public Speaking & Soft Skills. After completing Trainer’s certification from Glasgow, Scotland, he has worked with some of the most iconic brands like IndiGo, SpiceJet, NIIT and Interglobe Technologies. He was responsible for all Inflight Announcements & Communication Training for Pilots, Cabin crew & Ground Support Services in his previous role. Dr. Shivani Saluja

Dr. Shivani Saluja is a passionate and versatile academician with more than eight year of experience in the field of Information Technology. She holds a PhD (Cloud Computing), M.Tech (Information Technology) (Gold Medalist) and a B.Tech (Computer Science & Engineering). She has done extensive research in the field of cloud computing, machine learning, cyber security and computer networks and has worked with premier engineering institutions like IMSEC Ghaziabad, ABES Ghaziabad and GD Goenka University Gurugram. She holds AWS Certification for Solution Architect, IBM Certification for Business Intelligence & Cloud Computing and Cyber Security Certification from IIT Kanpur. Dr. Shivani is a member of the Editorial board of Scopus Indexed Journal and has worked as technical program committee member for several International conferences. She has published two patents and over 15 research papers in international Journals and has also delivered talks on Cloud Computing and Cyber Security in association with Hacker’s Meet.

Ambika has over 18 years of diverse experience in Guest Relation Management, Front Office, Reservations, Tourism and Hospitality related education. She has worked across organizations, starting with the Taj Group of Hotels, she has worked with ITC Fortune, Viceroy (Marriott’s International), Intercontinental The Grand hotels and then shifted to education with stints at the Institute of Hotel Management (Dadar Catering College), Atharva College of Hotel Management etc. She has leveraged and shared her experience across a wide cross section of students over the last 10 years.

Ltd. – as Instructional Designer; with Extramarks Education Pvt. Ltd. – as Subject Analyst and with NSHM Knowledge Campus. Academically she holds a Masters Degree in Economics and a BSc and has wide experience in research including focus group studies, database construction and statistical analysis.

Bharat has a great eye for details and will be looking after classroom scheduling, examination conduct and assisting in the university liaison work. A graduate in political science, his passion is to work in the field of Academic Operations and continuously upgrade himself in the new trends of the education field.

Dr. Deepak Sharma
Dr. Deepak Sharma Librarian

With over 16 years of experience working in academic libraries, Deepak Sharma is an experienced library and information professional. He has a PhD in library and information science and is certified with UGC-NET (Library and Information Science) programme. Being the ISH's first librarian, he designed the whole library system on campus. Prior to joining ISH, he worked at Gurugram's Northcap University. He has a track record of collaborating closely with the University's research and publications division. He has given talks at numerous conferences and seminars. He's put on two national seminars, as well as several workshops and guest talks. He has around 12 research papers in conference proceedings and journals to his credit. He has acquired an interest in Open Access Publishing and Library Marketing.

A graduate in B.Sc. in Media Science Honors from NSHM Knowledge Campus, Kolkata with a specialisation in Advertising and Public Relations. She has worked as an Account Manager at Inner Circle Advertising India with brands like – ITC, Le Jardin - Novotel (Kolkata), Savourites Hospitality, IQ City Narayana Multispecialty Hospital, Bodyline Sports, etc. She has also served as a Copy Writer with Crow's Nest, Kolkata. She has worked with Indian Psychoanalytical Society as the Public Relations Manager and has conducted COWAP International Conference in association International Psychoanalytical Association and WBSU. Sweety Sethi is Director of Admissions at the Indian School of Hospitality, where she leads the Admissions & Outreach Department. An expert at business development and sales, she brings to the table 19 years of experience. Her specialisation includes business growth and expansion, P&L management, budgeting, outreach strategy, channel marketing, lead nurturing, revenue generation and building robust customer journeys. Prior to ISH, Sweety has worked with brands including The Regent Hotels, Hyatt Regency, Royal Carribean, IBM, Kingfisher Training Academy, Kuoni Academy, TC Global, The Shahani Group among others. Sweety helps education institutes and allied sectors with establishing the function of learning & employee training, development & execution of business strategies, generation of revenue through sales & marketing. She also brings to the table extensive L&D experience having led businesses and teams across her career span. Sweety is an alumni of IIAS School of management, and has studied Hotel management. Sweety also holds a Distinction certificate in Instructional Design from IATA.

Anupam Mukherjee is the Director of Business Development at the Indian School of Hospitality, where he focuses on building strong, dedicated client relationships and partnerships that lead to growth and market differentiation, with an aim of generating new business opportunities. He works with the Marketing team for Brand outreach, manages sales support services and provides strategic direction for lead generation and revenue enhancement. An expert in Hotel Operations, Food and Beverage Management Hotels Pre-operations Management and Project Management, He brings to the table 20 years of experience and is a keen planner & strategist with a track record of developing operational and sales strategies, systems & controls and customer service standards. Prior to ISH, Anupam has worked with brands including The Oberoi Hotels, IHCL, ITC Hotels, Mantri Developers and Embassy Group among others. Anupam helps hospitality companies create new revenue stream and bring operational efficiencies. Anupam is an alumni of Calcutta University, and has studied Bachelor of Commerce. Anupam also holds a Diploma in Hotel Management and has undergone Executive Development programmes with ITC hotels.

Chirag Talwar
Chirag Talwar Director - Marketing

Chirag brings to the table 15 years of experience in leading strategy and teams across travel, hospitality, and airline brands. Recognised as one of India's Top 100 Brand Custodians by Adobe and Paul Writer, Chirag has in the past headed marketing for brands including Yatra.com, the Indian businesses of Flight Centre Travel Group (Australia), and Royal Orchid Hotels (a listed company). He has also served as Regional Marketing Manager - India, with Hilton Worldwide and he spent the early years of his career with Hotelivate (erstwhile HVS) and Virgin Atlantic Airways, as part of their brand marketing teams.

Ikita Pokharna
Ikita Pokharna Marketing Manager

Ikita Pokharna is the Marketing Manager at the Indian School of Hospitality, where she looks after Campaign Management and Communications Strategy for the brand. An expert in marketing strategy and planning, Ikita manages the digital and content requirements. She also handles press relations and media advocacy. Prior to ISH, she worked in the service operations industry where she handled the corporate marketing mandate for the India businesses of the Australia listed Flight Centre Travel Group. An Economics graduate from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, Ikita also has a Master’s degree in International Business & Tourism from IITTM, a Ministry of Tourism institute, and has been involved in the areas of Business Development with various organisations in India and the UK.

Aparajita Kotlia
Aparajita Kotlia Digital Marketing Manager

Aparajita Kotlia is a Digital Marketing Manager at Indian School of Hospitality. She comes with an expertise in digital marketing and is responsible for developing, implementing and managing marketing campaigns that promote the brand across digital platforms. Prior to ISH, Aparajita has worked with brands like JetSetGo India and Canvas Laugh Club where she has helped develop strategy using strong analyitcs to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points. Having finished her schooling from St. Mary’s Convent Nainital, Aparajita graduated in Mass Communication and Journalism from Dehradun. She also holds her Masters degree in Mass Communication and Journalism from Amity University, Noida.

Gaurav Sharma
Gaurav Sharma Lead - Creative Operations

As part of the marketing team, Gaurav leads creative operations at ISH. Gaurav has over 15 years of experience in graphic design and marketing. Prior to joining ISH, he served as Director - Creative at Templatolio and Hotelivate (erstwhile HVS), and has previously worked with renowned brands in hospitality including Taj, Westin, Accor, Radisson Hotel Group, Lemon Tree Hotels, Ananta, Amari, Alila, and Marriott. At ISH, Gaurav is in charge of developing the brand aesthetics, guidelines and identity for the brand, and ensures that every creative touchpoint reflects the values of the ISH brand.

Sanjay Kashyap
Sanjay Kashyap Senior Graphic Designer

Sanjay Kashyap handles marketing design and creative requirements at the Indian School of Hospitality. Sanjay works as a central resource for brand, marketing and artwork mandates. An expert in Adobe Creative Studio softwares, he is adept at using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, and he also works on video editing and HTML requirements. Prior to joining ISH, Sanjay worked with Yatra.com, one of India’s leading travel portals. In his tenure of five years with Yatra, he handled design requirements for Yatra.com, Yatra for Business and ATB Yatra. In the past, he has also worked with Time Out magazine as a senior graphic designer managing layout and design of the magazine and innovations for clients. He also has experience with magazines under the Network 18 brand and with Next Gen Publishing. He has a 2-year diploma in desktop publishing from the Govt. of India Press and he also studied a course in Advance Graphic Design.

Gurcharan Singh
Gurcharan Singh Director – Finance & Investments

Deepak Chauhan
Deepak Chauhan Chief Accountant

Deepak Chauhan is a Chief Accountant at the Indian School of Hospitality. Prior to joining ISH, Deepak worked with companies such as IHG, Hilton, Lalit, and others, where he assisted in the development of strong financial skills. He holds a bachelor's degree in commerce and is also a Chartered Accountant.

Meenakshi Mishra
Meenakshi Mishra Assistant Manager - Accounts

Meenakshi is a graduate from Delhi university, who has an experience of more than 15 years in finance & accounts. Meenakshi at ISH is responsible for maintaining company financial records and for Credit Control/Financial records and assisting for MIS reporting to the management team.

Brajesh Kumar
Brajesh Kumar Assistant Manager- Accounts

Brajesh Kumar is an Assistant Manager- Accounts at Indian School of Hospitality. Prior to this, he has worked with leading hospitality brands like Holiday Inn, Shangri-La, and Fortune Select Group. Brajesh did his Bachelor in Commerce from Jharkhand. He comes with the expertise of handling different accounting software’s among many others.

Dheeraj Singh

Dheeraj is purchase professional with over 14 years’ of experience in the hospitality industry. With an expertise in procurement, negotiations, contracts and contract admin, MRP, he also has an extensive work experience in inventory & production along with control & scheduling. He has worked with The Lodhi Hotel, New Delhi, Hilton, New Delhi, Hotel Park Plaza, Gurgaon & The Palms Town & Country Club, Gurgaon.

Vivek Bhati
Vivek Bhati Assistant Director - Administration

An experienced admin professional who has worked in multiple industries supporting a range of senior executives, Vivek’s experience ranges from telecommunications and healthcare to food and hospitality where he has provided support services both to multiple managers as well as entire departments. Most recently Vivek has provided professional support to the President of Duet India Hotels, part of the Duet Group, a global alternative asset manager co-founded by Henry Gabay in 2002 and headquartered in London.
